Food Safety
At TH Training Solutions, we are passionate about food safety training.
The safety of food is vital to all consumers and food businesses. It is essential that high standards are followed at all times to keep consumers safe.
Food safety isn’t just limited to cooking at home or eating out. In fact, it covers all aspects of food production and manufacturing, processing, preparation, handling, storage, distribution, sale and serving. Ultimately, consumers must have confidence that the food they buy and eat will be what they expect and above all else, will do them no harm.
Whether cooking and preparing food at home, serving food to others or working in catering in a preparation or management role, TH Training Solutions have got it covered.
We offer high quality Food Safety courses to help businesses not only meet their legal obligations but create an environment where employees feel confident and consumers can trust that the food is safe.

What the Law says about Food Safety:
Food business operators are required by law, to ensure that food handlers receive appropriate supervision and instruction/training in food hygiene. Importantly, this should be in line with their work activity and should enable them to handle food safely.
The law covers every size of business. Starting from home kitchens where small food businesses operate from, to market stalls, right up to large supermarkets, restaurants and more.
The relevant laws on food safety include:
– The Food Safety Act 1990 (as amended)
– The General Food Law Regulation (EC) 178/2002
– The General Food Regulations 2004 (as amended)
– The Food Safety and Hygiene Regulations 2013 (as amended)
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) is responsible for food safety and food hygiene across the UK. Additionally, they work with Local Authorities to enforce regulations and ensure that businesses are compliant.
Most people have heard about and seen the Food Hygiene Ratings given to food businesses. Whilst the ratings are a guide to hygiene and not food quality, it is a direct link on how consumers will view your business too.
