Course Overview
This course is ideal for anyone supporting vulnerable adults and aiming for an awareness of their roles and responsibilities, recognising abuse and how to respond to concerns, disclosures or allegations of abuse, harm and neglect.
On this course you will learn about:
– What safeguarding means
– Understanding what a ‘vulnerable adult’ is
– Understanding the need to include safeguarding children within the adult sector
– What is abuse
– Recognise signs and symptoms that someone may be being abused
– Human Rights Act and case study of abuse
– Who are the abusers
– Why we report abuse
– Reporting abuse
– Whistleblowing procedures

Course Qualification
Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a THTS certificate. There is no expiry date on this certificate, although we recommend that you refresh training every 2 years.
