Course Overview
Our Learning Disability awareness course is ideal for anyone providing care, support or treatment to an individual with learning disabilities.
On this course you will learn to:
– Identify what a learning disability is
– Identify the causes of a learning disability
– Explore the possible impact of a learning disability on the individual and their day to day life
– Identify the core associated difficulties of learning disabilities relating to –
• Attention
• Perception
• Time perception
• Short-term memory
• Comprehension
• Expression
• Coping with change

There is no written assessment for this course, formative assessments will take place throughout the course.
Course Qualification
Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a THTS certificate. There is no expiry date on this certificate, although we recommend that you refresh training every 2 years.
